This is just a friendly reminder that the deadline for the Connecticut Neighborhood Assistance Act application NAA-02 is approaching. As you know, and from the article you read in the latest issue of Perspective, the Crisis Nursery at Kids in Crisis is an approved program by the Connecticut Neighborhood Assistance Act (NAA) Tax Credit Program. This program is designed to provide funding for municipal and tax exempt organizations by providing a corporation business tax credit for businesses who make cash contributions to these entities.

Businesses can receive an additional tax credit of 60% of their approved contribution to the Crisis Nursery program at Kids in Crisis above their regular tax credit. Businesses unable to utilize the full amount of their credit may carry back any unused credits to the two immediately preceding income years.

I have been notified by the State of Connecticut that businesses wishing to sponsor an approved NAA program MUST submit their application to the Dept. of Revenue Services beginning September 15, 2005 through October 3, 2005 , but no later than that date! So, for those of you who wish to take advantage of this extremely generous tax credit, please visit http://www.ct.gov/drs/cwp/view.asp?a=1447&q=266058&drsPNavCtr=| then click on "Form NAA-02 " to download the forms and learn more about how to file.

If you have any questions about this program or need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,
Alon
